« Sunbathing » on the beach was first introduced to the area in the 1920s by an American couple, Sara and Gerald Murphy. The trend-setting, artistic pair are credited with inventing the term to describe a sense of well-being inspired by the sun of the Riviera alone. Today, the pleasure of sunbathing is a democratic pursuit, which can be enjoyed even more under a parasol, by the new pool: for Carlton Beaulieu guests only.
The swimming pool is heated from May to October, for bathing between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Offering a wide selection of carefully picked produce, the breakfast buffet is the ideal way to start the day to suit your tastes and mood. Choose from a range of mouth-watering sweet and savoury items, at will, in the bright dining room or on the terrace in good weather. Why not enjoy a traditional, local bread roll, or seasonal vegetables to go with artisanal salted meats or deliciously refined cheeses? Gourmet muesli and Viennese pastries are, naturally, also on the menu. The appetising flavours are a feast for the taste buds and we can highly recommend the organic stewed fruits and jams produced locally by la Maison Gannac

Beaulieu-sur-Mer was originally a resort that at attracted ‘winter holidaymakers’, well-to-do pleasure-seekers during the Belle Époque who were especially fond of the Riviera during the coldest months of the year.
Harking back to this past, the interiors of the Carlton’s lounges are inspiring, relaxing places for all season. When teatime comes around, you can savour little homemade delicacies. By the fireplace, pick up a book and leaf through it at leisure relaxing on one of the couches. Or compose your own melody at the piano.
As the hotel nurtures this love of music, the terrace is the ideal setting for jazz improvisations, with regular events throughout the summer. At the Carlton, whatever your mood, pleasurable moments are here for the taking, with natural elegance.
The elegantly relaxing atmosphere and sense of hospitality at the Hotel Carlton Beaulieu is multi-faceted. A separate area is given over to private meetings, reunions and receptions, such as business meetings and family celebrations. The room can accommodate up to 30 people seated or 80 people standing, in a sunny venue looking out onto the swimming pool and can be arranged to suit your requirements.
Check-in is from 3.00pm and check-out from 12.00pm.
However, to enable long-distance travellers to rest up, a courtesy room is available for a few hours, on request and subject to availability. As a prelude or coda to your stay here, this small luxury means that you can take your time to suit your plans.
For groups of four who want to be together, the Hotel Carlton is pleased to offer communicating rooms. The Deluxe and Superior room duos with twin bathrooms afford convenience and complete peace of mind.
A cot (for children under three) can be set up free of charge in the Superior and Deluxe rooms on request. A high chair and changing table are also provided so that the little ones — and their parents — can make the most of their stay here.
Although the Carlton team is very fond of our four-legged friends and other pets, the hotel accepts only small dogs.
Available on request when you book, the Hotel Carlton can reserve parking spaces in a private outdoor car park.
Nowadays, as very few guests travel around on a Torpedo, in the manner of F. Scott Fitzgerald, the hotel car park also offers an electric vehicle charging station (11 KW. Rate: 25 per day).
